🏃‍♀️P.E Sessions⚽

Once a week, the Pre School children each take part in a P.E session with Jake. During this session, they will practice different movements to help them progress in their physical development.

Here are some of the maneuvers that the children will try. Jumping in and out of hoops, hopping, balancing on one leg, balancing on the bikes, throwing balls through hoops and many more.

🏖️We`re going to the beach☀️

This week we have welcomed some of our Babies back from their holidays who have spent lots of time at the beach!

The team have been supporting the Babies explore familiar objects and textures such as sand and shells in a beach themed activity. They looked at different types of sea creatures that might be found in the ocean and sand!

Germ Experiment 🧫🧪

The children have been learning about germs and why handwashing is important. To support this learning we carried out a science experiment.

First, we sprinkled pepper on water in a bowl to represent germs. Next, the children covered a finger with soap and stuck it into the water. They were then able to see the pepper "germs" scatter from the soap.

Dear Zoo 🦁🐍🐒🐪🐸

One of the Toddlers favourite stories is Dear Zoo. To extend the children`s interest we set up an interactive activity, where children could wear animal masks and act out the story with puppets and small world animals.

They loved exploring the activity and talking about their favourite animals.

Marvin had a fantastic time celebrating one of our preschoolers 4th Birthdays. Marvin and the birthday boy enjoyed a day out to Chessington World of Adventures, where they saw animals and went on rides.

Its National Turtle day!

The Toddlers have been celebrating turtles by exploring different types of activities and learning about turtles and their environments.

Today, the children took part in a activity where the they could be creative and join in with mark making to create turtle shells.

Stomp like an Elephant 🐘

The babies have been learning all about Elephants. They enjoyed listening to stories about Elmer the Elephant and created their own Elmer`s with colourful paints.

One of their favourite activities was stomping like an Elephant. They used toy elephants and their own feet to stomp the paint across the paper.

✨Staff Training Day ✨

Last Thursday our team took part in a staff training day. The training focused on various subjects, such as-

• Fire Safety
• Safeguarding
• Curriculum
• Health and Safety

The training was a great refresher for existing staff and offered newer team members the chance to gain a deeper understanding of early years and the nursery.

Threading 🪡

The children enjoyed a threading activity with a various resources. Threading provides a great opportunity for children to develop fine motor skills.

The children loved investigating the different materials and choosing which ones they wanted to thread with.
