It`s International Men`s Day ✨
International Men`s Day is a celebration of the positive values men bring to the world, their families and communities.
Today is about highlighting positive role models and awareness of men`s well-being, whether that be your grandad, dad, brother, cousin or friend.

Preschool have two pet snails- Rocket and Shelley. Each week a different group of preschoolers take on the responsibility of cleaning the snail enclosure and chopping up some food for the snails to enjoy.
This provides the children with a great opportunity to learn about caring for living things and how to carry out small responsibilities.

It`s Anti Bullying Week ❤️
The Anti-Bullying Alliance are the official organisers of Anti-Bullying Week and Odd Socks Day in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Anti-Bullying Week 2024 will take place from Monday 11th - Friday 15th November, with the theme: Choose Respect.
This year, we’ll empower children and young people to not resort to bullying, even when we disagree and remind adults to lead by example, online and offline.
From playgrounds to parliament, our homes to our phones, this Anti-Bullying Week let`s `Choose Respect` and bring an end to bullying which negatively impacts millions of young lives.

It`s Remembrance Day ❤️
Remembrance Day, also called Armistice Day or Poppy Day, is a Memorial Day to celebrate the end of World War One. The war ended on November 11th, 1918, at 11am.
Today we honour and remember the brave soldiers lives and their sacrifices from the First World War by wearing our poppies, laying Remembrance Day wreaths and watching parades.

This half term, Molly Moocow is all about different weather. This week the children were learning about storms and rain.
They loved holding umbrellas during a song about rain and standing under a stormy parachute.

Bonfire Night 🎆🔥
Scott, @monkeypuzzlelightwater Manager, is also a Forest School Teacher. To celebrate Bonfire Night and learn about fire safety, Scott created a miniature bonfire for Preschool to enjoy.
The preschoolers had the opportunity to look at the different components of a fire, watch the fire being lit and observe how it burns. They then learnt how a fire can be safely put out.
The children gained some fantastic knowledge of fire safety.

It’s Diwali ✨
Diwali, which is also called the ‘festival of lights’ is a very important religious celebration that is traditionally celebrated by Hindus and Sikhs.
At Monkey Puzzle Guildford, we believe it is important to teach our little ones about all the different celebrations throughout the year.
Our children have loved making Diya lights, Rangoli patterns, looking at Diwali photos and reading stories about the celebration.

Today is not only Halloween, but also Monkey Puzzle Guildford`s 2nd birthday!
Since opening on the 31st October 2022 we have welcomed so many lovely children and their families to the nursery. We would like to thank you all for your support over the last couple of years!

Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Guildford can be found on just off the A246 on Denmark Road, opposite St Joseph’s Catholic Church and York Road Car Park, our post code is GU1 4DA. London Road Railway Station and Guildford town centre are just a few minutes-walk away.
Opening times: 7:30am to 6:30pm
Monday to Friday for 51 weeks per year, (closed for the week between
Christmas and New Year)
