It`s Makaton Awareness Day ✨
Makaton is a unique language programme that uses symbols, signs and speech to enable people to communicate. It supports the development of essential communication skills such as attention and listening, comprehension, memory, recall and organisation of language and expression.
Today over 100,000 children and adults use Makaton symbols and signs, either as their main method of communication or as a way to support speech ❤️

Lemon and Lime Playdough
🍋🍋🟩
The toddlers loved investigating some scented playdough. They squeezed the fruit juice onto the playdough and loved mixing it in and smelling the scent.
The activity gave children the opportunity to be freely imaginative, learn new vocabulary, explore textures and talk about different foods.

This week preschool have been exploring their senses.
They have enjoyed various activities relating to touch, smell, sight, taste and hearing. The activities were a great opportunity for the children to voice their opinions, try new things and be resilient learners.

The toddlers had a great time exploring their very own car wash. They loved using cloths to clean the cars, driving them through the car wash. They investigated different ways to wash the cars and enjoyed splashing the bubbly water.

Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Guildford can be found on just off the A246 on Denmark Road, opposite St Joseph’s Catholic Church and York Road Car Park, our post code is GU1 4DA. London Road Railway Station and Guildford town centre are just a few minutes-walk away.
Opening times: 7:30am to 6:30pm
Monday to Friday for 51 weeks per year, (closed for the week between
Christmas and New Year)
